Bali has many interesting places to visit. Here is a list of some of the most popular ones:

Uluwatu – ± 15 km (± 45 min.) by car
A spectacular "sea temple" at the southwestern tip of the peninsula, Pura Luhur Uluwatu.

Waterboom – ± 22 km (± 30 min.) by car
Exciting, fun waterslide park located in Kuta.

Kuta – ± 25 km (± 35 min.) by car
A tourist cliché famous for surfing, shopping and hanging out in the many restaurants and bars.

Bali Bird Park – ± 30 km (± 1h.) by car
More than 1000 birds and over 250 species, including rare cendrawasih (birds of paradise) from Irian Jaya and highly a danger Bali starlings.

Ubud – ± 35 km (± 1h. 30 min.) by car
A remarkable town in the middle of the island of Bali that is surrounded by most of the things which bring people to Bali, such as rice fields, small villages, art and craft communities, ancient temples, palaces, rivers.

Located about 12 km north of Ubud, the Elephant Safari Park is in the cool, wet highlands of Taro.

The most important and venerated sea temple in Bali. This is a good place to see a beautiful sunset.

A cool green place set in the hills famous for its Lake and Ulun Danu temple. You can also enjoy the Tree Tops experience and the local market.

Besakih – ± 95 km (± 2h. 30 min.) by car
Located nearly 1000m up the side of Gunung Agung is Pura Besakih, the most important temple in Bali.

West Bali National Park – ± 111 km (± 3h.) by car
It covers 19.003 hectares of the western tip of Bali.

Tulamben – ± 120 km (± 3h.) by car
This is the most popular dive and snorkeling spot in Bali. Here you can discover the wreck of the US cargo ship Liberty.

Nusa Lembongan Island – ± 2h. by boat
A relaxing place, where surfers, divers and snorkels alike can get away from the relative chaos of southern Bali.

Nusa Penida Island – ± 2h. 15 min. by boat
A limestone plateau with white-sand beaches on its north coast, and views over the water to the volcanoes in Bali. Famous for its diving at Crystal Bay where you can see the Moulin-Moulin. At Manta Point, you can see many sting rays.

Lombok – 30 min. by plane or 4h. by ferry
A steady stream of sun soakers, divers, surfers and trekker heads to Lombok for the beautiful beaches and underwater sights of Kuta beach where Novotel Lombok is nestled on its private beach. Gunung Rinjani is one of the highest volcanoes in Indonesia which is a challenge for any amateur trekker.
