Wedding June 2009

We stayed at the Novotel Benoa in June 2009 for two weeks. Wow, what an eye opening experience. All the staff spoke English and were extremely efficient with a warm and friendly smile and personality. We especially loved chatting with the gardeners, cleaning staff, pool/beach patrollers and security guards. What a great job they all do.

Our room (tropical terrace) was perfect for us. The king size bed was bigger than we imagined and the private courtyard was peaceful and relaxing. The main dining area is spacious with a variety of foods to tempt everyones taste buds for breakfast and lunch. Each night catering is under a different theme and accompanied by free entertainment for all guests to enjoy. There are other dining areas throughout the grounds and a must to do is enjoy a homemade ice-cream cone from the beach hut. Relaxing by the main pool or on the beach was heavenly.

Clean crisp towels are always available and the staff regularly bring around fresh fruit on skewers and cold scented face towels.

The private beach area is clean and secure with large lounge chairs and plenty of shade. There are no waves on this side of the island and therefore it is perfect for snorkelling or a lazy float in the clear water. Restricted peddlers made our stay, hassle free.

The indoor spa rooms were private and tranquil or if you prefer you can enjoy one of many gazebos near the beach or pool. Join in on the simple, fun and informative activities that are planned throughout the day.

Make sure you have a good look at the statues throughout the lovely gardens. Many are quite amusing. The hotel is perfectly located with water sport activities just 2 minutes walk down the beach. The local village shops are across the road with everything we wanted and another village some 15 minutes walk towards the harbour point.

We are keen to return to Bali and would definitely choose the Novotel again.

With warmest thanks,
Sue and Daryl.
